Andrea Holland Hart


Education
Graduating summa cum laude from Bradford College with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in liberal arts. Andrea continued her education at the University of Massachusetts, receiving a Graduate Certificate in the Prevention of Domestic Violence. Her ongoing education includes workshops with such renowned artists as Daniel Greene, Constance Pratt, Charlotte Wharton, Richard Schmid, Everett Raymond Kinstler, and the American Society of Portrait Artists (ASOPA). Andrea has also completed extensive course work at the Massachusetts College of Art, Montserrat School of Visual Art, and the Decordova Museum. Most recently, an intensive course in Forensic Art Portrait Techniques was taken at Northwestern University with Lois Gibson.

About the Artist/Professional Status
Andrea Holland Hart offers classes for students of all skill sets from her home studio just outside Boston, MA. Andrea has taught courses in Art Therapy, Portraiture, Pastel and Oil at Northern Essex College, and various local establishments in the New England area. She spends much of her time inspiring such artists, both young and old, to unleash their natural talents.

A life long fascination with the individual and its' spirit within has led Andrea to her passion for portraiture and genre painting. Portraits are done on a commission basis from her home studio in pastel, watercolor,acrylic and oil. Although, people are her passion, she also enjoys painting landscapes, homes, animals, and still life. Andrea also delights in carrying out demonstrations and workshops for various art associations and local colleges.
